Connecting an external email service (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365)

MX records for routing your domain’s email to another service.

If your site stays with us but your email should be on Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, you only need to change the mail records.

  1. Note the MX, TXT (SPF / verification) and, if needed, CNAME records the email service gives you.
  2. Delete the old MX records under DNS records.
  3. Add the MX records the service gives you, with their priorities.
  4. Add a TXT record for SPF or update your existing SPF (a domain should have only one SPF record).
  5. Verify the domain in the email service’s panel.
If you have mailboxes on our hosting, new mail won’t arrive there after you change MX. Move your old messages first.
