DNS records determine which server each of your domain’s services points to.
| Type | Purpose | Example |
|---|---|---|
| A | Points the domain to an IPv4 address | @ → 185.0.0.10 |
| AAAA | Points the domain to an IPv6 address | @ → 2a01::10 |
| CNAME | Points a subdomain to another name | www → sirketim.az |
| MX | Specifies which server receives your email | @ → mail.sirketim.az (priority 10) |
| TXT | Verification codes, SPF, DKIM, DMARC | @ → v=spf1 a mx ~all |
Adding a record
- Go to My domains → Manage → DNS records.
- Choose the record type and enter the name (
@for the domain itself,www,mail, etc.) and value. - If you don’t need to change the TTL, leave the default and save.
If the domain points to our hosting (our nameservers), you can also manage records in DirectAdmin under Account Manager → DNS Management.
Deleting an existing MX or A record can stop your email or site. If you’re not sure, contact support first.
