With two-factor authentication on, signing in asks for a 6-digit code from the app on your phone as well as your password. Even if someone gets your password, they can’t get into your account.
- Install Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or a similar app on your phone.
- Go to My account → Two-factor authentication in the client area.
- Scan the QR code on screen with the app.
- Enter the 6-digit code from the app and confirm.
- Keep the backup codes shown in a safe place.
If you lose your phone, you can sign in with backup codes. If you don’t have those either, contact support to verify your identity.
