Creating and restoring backups

We take regular backups on our servers, but we recommend taking your own before important changes.

Creating a backup

1. In DirectAdmin, open Advanced Features → Create/Restore Backups.
2. Choose what to include (files, databases, email) and click Create Backup.
3. When it’s ready, the file appears in the backups folder — download it to your computer from File Manager.

Restoring

1. In the same section, choose the backup file under Restore.
2. Tick the parts to restore and confirm.
