With the app installer (recommended)
- In DirectAdmin, open the app installer (Softaculous / Installatron) under Extra Features.
- Choose WordPress and click Install.
- Select the domain and leave the folder field empty (so the site opens on the domain itself).
- Enter the site name, admin username, a strong password and email, then click Install.
- Log in to the dashboard at
yourdomain/wp-admin.
Manually
- Download the latest version from wordpress.org and extract it into
public_html. - Create a MySQL database — see Creating a MySQL database.
- Open the domain, enter the database details in the setup wizard and finish.
Enable SSL for the domain before installing so the site is set up with https:// from the start.
